Vegan Hazelnutty Brownies

These scrumptious brownies might be the perfect sweet treat to have along with a cup of coffee or plant-based milk on a cold day. They are high in fibre, protein and packed full of nutrient-dense superfoods.

Add our Cacao & Hazelnut spread into the batter to enrich your brownies with irresistible hints of crunchy hazelnut. Alternatively, replace it with Naturya Cashew & Hazelnut spread to create a caramelly brownie that literally melts in your mouth.

  • 460g canned organic black beans
  • 120g Cacao & Hazelnut Spread
  • 4 tbsp (40g) Cacao Powder
  • 2 tbsp Gluten-Free Plain Flour
  • 120g Agave Syrup
  • 60g Coconut Sugar
  • 60ml plant-based milk
  • 1 tbsp (approx 15g) melted coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 50g Cacao Nibs or try our delicious Yacon sweetened Cacao Nibs
  • Optional: goji berries or mulberries


  • Preheat Oven to 180 degrees C
  • Rinse the beans well and place into the blender
  • Add the rest of the ingredients except berries & cacao nibs into the blender
  • Blend until creamy and smooth
  • Once smooth stir in goji berries, mulberries and/or cacao nibs
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture into it
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes until the edges pull away from the pan
  • Let cool for 10-15 minutes, then enjoy!
