Gingerbread & Chia Overnight Oats

'Tis the season to have gingerbread flavoured recipes at every time of the day. This Gingerbread Chia Overnight Oats make a fantastically festive breakfast that ticks all the boxes : supercharged with plant protein, high in omega-3 fatty acids and super quick to make. 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cup plant-based milk
  • 1/2 cup plant-based yogurt
  • 2 TBSP Naturya Chia Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Naturya Banana Baobab Protein blend
  • 1/4 cup Naturya White Mulberries
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  • Place all ingredients into a large glass container and mix until combined.
  • Cover the glass container with a lid, place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. 
  • Toppings can be added the night before or immediately before serving. Thin with a little more milk or water, if desired. 

Note:

Adding yogurt gives extra thickness and a creamy texture. If you don’t have yogurt in the fridge, you can simply replace it with ½ cup milk.
