Turmeric SuperBlend Hummus

This golden hummus recipe boasts a range of nutrients and anti-inflammatory properties thanks to our SuperBlend of turmeric, maca, lucuma and warming spices.

Subtly spicy, creamy smooth and vibrantly coloured, it makes the perfect dip with fresh vegetables, pita chips, or flatbread!

Ingredients

  • 400g/1 can chickpeas
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp Naturya Turmeric SuperBlend
  • 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method

  • Wash the chickpeas and place in a pan, cover with boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes.  
  • Wash the cooked chickpeas and remove all the skin and place in a food processor.
  • Add the lemon juice, Naturya turmeric superblend, coarse sea salt, ground cumin, asafoetida powder, tahini to the food processor and blend on high speed.
  • At every 1 minute interval, keep scraping down the sides of the food processor and blend again, once the mixture has blended well, add the water one tbsp at a time until it becomes a smooth consistency.
  • Finally add the olive oil to the hummus mixture and blend again until it is ready.
