Christmas Chocolate Truffles

These truffles will be the perfect dessert for any occasion − plant based, gluten-free, refined sugar-free and bursting with nutrients.

What's even better is that they are deliciously chocolatey. And what would the Christmas season be without chocolate?


  • 250g Medjool dates
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 tbsp (20g) Naturya Cacao Maca SuperProtein
  • 1 tbsp (6g) Naturya cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp (13.7g) Naturya coconut oil, melted
  • Truffle coatings: Naturya chia seeds, Naturya Sundried goji berries, Naturya cacao powder, desiccated coconut


  • Soak the Medjool dates in hot water for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the coconut oil in a pan. 
  • Add the soaked dates, almond butter, Cacao Maca SuperProtein, cacao powder and coconut oil in a blender, blend for 3 minutes or until smooth. 
  • Scoop out the truffle mixture using a teaspoon and roll each into balls (If it gets sticky, wrap in a piece of cling film and roll it out).
  • Pour the coatings into small bowls. Roll the truffles in the coatings. Enjoy!
